Systems Engineer

 Job Purpose:

    Systems Engineers are the primary technical resource for the field sales force. Systems Engineers are responsible for actively driving and managing the technology evaluation stage of the sales process, working in conjunction with the sales team as the key technical advisor and product advocate for our products. The Systems Engineer must be able to articulate Kaspersky technology and Kaspersky product positioning to both business and technical users. Must be able to identify all technical issues of assigned accounts to assure complete customer satisfaction through all stages of the sales process. Must be able to establish and maintain strong relationships throughout the sales cycle.

 Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support, mainly on pre-sales, on the day-to-day basis to the distributors and partners in the South East Asia region.
  • Escalate priority and complicated technical issues to senior technical staff or Head of Technical Service in a timely and professional manner
  • Prepare technical research analysis with competitors' products
  • Understand the market trend and the latest development of the IT products so as to provide quality support to the customers with updated product knowledge
  • Responsible for development and delivery of product demonstrations
  • Responsible for representing the product to customers and at field events such as conferences, seminars, etc.
  • Able to respond to functional and technical elements of RFIs/RFPs
  • Able to convey customer requirements to Product Management teams
  • Able to travel throughout sales territory
  • Any ad hoc projects assigned by supervisor

 Job Requirements:

  • Computer Science or a related field is strongly preferred
  • Good technical knowledge of anti-virus products
  • 3-5+ years relevant experience in vendor sales
  • Proven track record in software sales and knowledge of technology

Note: Systems Engineer experience often has other titles including Application Engineer, Field Consultant, Pre-sales support, and Area Support Engineer.

 Knowledge & Skills:

 
  • Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese, knowledge in Mandarin is an advantage
  • Operating systems knowledge across Windows XP, 2003, 2008 and/or Linux platforms
  • A good team-player and is self-motivated
  • Able to prioritize, creative and flexible
  • Good presentation skills
